On freezing. On having so much inspiration you overflow. Until you have to transcribe it into actual words. And then you have nothing. Except for that annoying need to finish what you – think you – started.
So here’s a meta post. Finally. Everything else was so hypo. Evidently so since it was completely absent from the Universe.
My single resolution for 2013: start writing. In public. Only took me about half a month to get started. That’s called progress.
I do know that actual writing takes actual work. And, to be honest, I’m not willing to put in the hours. Not that I don’t want to, but since my last article is dated about 1 and a half years ago, I’m inclined to say that “posting” is more of a fantasy than a true calling.
Even so, I’m gonna put “pen to paper” a lot more often. I need to be a better writer.
Speaking of which. There’s not a single person in the world who wouldn’t benefit from writing. Write crap. Write about what your favorite journalist / blogger wrote about. Write about the mundane. Write about every single formed thought that goes through your head. It’s gonna pay off a lot sooner than you think.
Oh, and the excerpt? I had a ton of inspiration before just 1 minute before starting to write. I was about to treat 3 to 5 subjects in my thesis. Then I started walking towards the computer and every single thought got erased.
So yes. This was written on auto-pilot. But my intentions are good, I swear.
